What it is
Acrylates crosspolymer is a high-molecular-weight cross-linked copolymer of acrylic acid monomers. It thickens water-based systems, stabilizes emulsions, suspends pigments and other insoluble particles, and can form a light film that improves skin feel. In sunscreens it helps build a stable, even formula and supports uniform distribution of UV filters.
Safety & warnings
Acrylates crosspolymers are large, essentially non-penetrating polymers and are generally well tolerated with low irritation potential. They are not recognized fragrance allergens and are not comedogenic oils.
