What it is

Adenosine Triphosphate, or ATP, is the nucleotide that cells use to store and transfer energy, consisting of adenosine bound to three phosphate groups. In cosmetics it is used as a skin-conditioning agent, often paired with related actives in products marketed around skin vitality and a refreshed appearance. It is used at low concentrations as a supporting ingredient.
