Akebia Trifoliata Stem Extract comes from the stems of the three-leaf akebia, a vine closely related to Akebia quinata and native to East Asia. It is used in skincare and sunscreen formulas as a plant-derived conditioning component, generally at low concentrations within a wider blend of botanicals. It does not function as a UV filter.
