What it is
Citrus Nobilis Fruit Extract is prepared from the fruit of the mandarin orange and contains naturally occurring sugars, organic acids, and flavonoid and vitamin C constituents. It is used at modest levels for skin-conditioning purposes and for the antioxidant character associated with citrus polyphenols. It also lends a mild citrus note to a formula.
Safety & warnings
Citrus fruit extracts are generally well tolerated at cosmetic use levels, but they may carry trace amounts of citrus-derived fragrance constituents such as limonene that can sensitize fragrance-allergic individuals. People with a known citrus allergy should use citrus-derived ingredients with caution.
