What it is
Strawberry seed oil is a lightweight plant oil obtained from the tiny seeds of the cultivated strawberry, notable for its high content of polyunsaturated fatty acids including linoleic and alpha-linolenic acid. In formulas it acts as an emollient that conditions and softens skin and contributes naturally occurring tocopherols. Its high unsaturation gives it a relatively light, fast-absorbing feel.

Strawberry seed oil is generally well tolerated and, being rich in linoleic acid, is usually regarded as a relatively low-comedogenic plant oil, though individual responses to any oil vary.
