What it is
Humulus Lupulus Strobile is derived from the strobiles, or cone-shaped female flowers, of the hop plant best known from brewing. Hops contain polyphenols and bitter acids that contribute antioxidant character, and the botanical is used as a skin-conditioning and soothing ingredient. It is typically included at low levels as a supporting extract.
Safety & warnings
Generally well tolerated in topical use. As an aromatic botanical, hop-derived materials can occasionally provoke sensitivity in predisposed individuals. It is not regarded as comedogenic.
