What it is
Laminaria Digitata Extract is derived from a large brown kelp and contains polysaccharides such as alginates and laminarin along with minerals. In formulations it is used to condition and hydrate the skin and to convey a marine-derived positioning. It does not absorb UV radiation and is not a sunscreen active.
Safety & warnings
Generally well tolerated in cosmetic use. As a marine-derived ingredient it naturally contains iodine, and people with seaweed or marine allergies may wish to exercise caution. It is not associated with comedogenicity at typical use levels.
