What it is
Lauryl Methacrylate/Glycol Dimethacrylate Crosspolymer is a synthetic polymer made by crosslinking lauryl methacrylate with glycol dimethacrylate. The crosslinked network forms microparticles or a film that can help structure a formula, absorb excess oil, and impart a soft, smooth feel. In sunscreens it is commonly used to refine texture and contribute to an even, comfortable application.
Safety & warnings
As a high-molecular-weight crosslinked polymer it is essentially inert on skin and generally well tolerated, with low irritation potential. It is not a fragrance allergen and is not a comedogenic oil.
