What it is
Stevia Rebaudiana Extract is obtained from the leaves of Stevia rebaudiana, a South American plant best known as a source of natural sweeteners called steviol glycosides. In cosmetics it is used as a skin-conditioning agent and humectant, and in lip products it can also lend a sweet taste. It is typically present at low levels as a botanical additive rather than as a primary active.
Safety & warnings
Stevia leaf extract is generally well tolerated on skin. As a botanical extract it carries the usual, generally low potential for sensitization in individuals reactive to specific plant constituents. It is not considered comedogenic.
Origin & sourcing
