What it is
This extract comes from the cured fruit pods of Vanilla tahitensis, the Tahitian vanilla orchid, known for its sweet, floral aroma. In cosmetics it is used both as a skin-conditioning botanical and as a naturally aromatic ingredient that contributes a vanilla-like scent. Vanilla extracts also contain compounds such as vanillin that have antioxidant character.
