Questions we get a lot

Are tone-up sunscreens the same as tinted?

Not quite — tinted sunscreens use iron-oxide pigments to color-match skin, while tone-up formulas use white or pink pearl pigments to lighten and brighten the surface. Some products do both; the tinted view filters for the pigment-matching kind.

Will a tone-up formula look gray on deeper skin tones?

It can. Tone-up pigments are tuned around lighter complexions in Korean and Japanese ranges; a tinted formula matched to your undertone usually looks more natural on medium-to-deep skin.
